Purpose and Goal


The purpose of the Risk Management Program at Washington University School of Medicine is to identify, analyze, evaluate and monitor actual and potential areas of risk associated with patients, always striving toward the prevention of medical malpractice and its associated legal actions. The overall goal of the program is to promote the safe delivery of high quality patient care, thereby minimizing preventable injuries and accidents and ultimately reducing financial loss to Washington University School of Medicine and its employees.
